There are so many good websites out there to help with home management.  Organizing Your Way offers planner pages for the Thanksgiving season and for the Christmas season. Love the budget worksheet for Christmas as it gives space for all those little things that come up over the holidays that we forget.

On my to-do list this week yet is to plan my family's meal for the month of November.  This is a relatively new adventure for me - to plan for a month at a time. I started the habit in August in effort to provide for my husband and father in law when I was out of town and get a jump start on time management for the week school started.  I love it! I will start with a blank calendar page of November.  Using a pencil, I fill in events I know of that will effect our dinner meal - either members of our family being away from home or guests visiting.  It has seemed to work for our family for me to cook "new" meals Sunday through Thursday, having leftovers on Friday  evening and pizza on Saturdays.  Sometimes that pizza is frozen, sometimes  homemade, and on rare occasion, delivered. I am currently planning for November 7th - December 5th, so I have twenty dinner meals to fill. I enjoyed these tips as I set to work on our menu. I rotate our breakfast and lunch meals, so planning for those is fairly easy for me. 

After getting all our meals and recipes planned, I work on the complete shopping list.  Dividing that shopping list into stores is my last job before heading out to shop, which I hope to do on Saturday.  Today, it seems like an overwhelming task, but I know if accomplished, Saturday night will come with a sigh of relief.
